Unlike most chains, local businesses actually generate and pool more money back into the city that it is located. They strive to take care of their community and their customers. 

Shopping & dining locally helps build and strengthen the community and many  consider Bay City to be a great little community. The only way to change the perspective of people looking at Bay City as little, is by making sure your hard earned dollar is put back into it. Local businesses will be able to provide more jobs locally and yet still maintaining that name and name basis with its customers.

With that list alone, you pretty much have everything you need for shopping and dining with a few exceptions. With this list alone, it makes Bay City unique. We can give people a taste of something no other city can, because these shops and places are native to Bay City. So the next time you have someone coming in from out of town, treat them to something different, off the beaten path. Not only will you feel good knowing you’re giving back locally, but also because you can’t get that experience from a large corporation. 

Next time you need a pop, don’t stop at Speedway on Center,  Jacks Fruit Market is right across the street. 

Next time you need a coffee, don’t go through Tim Horton’s, you have multiple options downtown.

Next time you’re going out to eat, don’t go to Applebee’s, I mean you did just read the list above right?
